How is your January 2023 so far?
Hope you are smiling as you are reading this.
One of my favorite traditions on December 31 is to review my year through the lens of gratitude and growth (lessons). I carefully write down all the relevant milestones in my personal and professional life, complete with photos and videos, and post them in my blog.
Why am I doing this? Let me share a quick story.
Last week, I was so overwhelmed with all the things I needed to do after a long holiday break.
I felt like I was so far off from the timeline I set for myself.
So I paused and decided to continue writing my 2022 blessings. I didn’t finish doing this on December 31 so I can spend more quality time with my family.
While recalling and writing down my blessings, I realized I’ve come so far and there are so many things to celebrate!
Sometimes we forget how far we’ve come and how faithful God is in our lives. That’s why it is important to write down our blessings and review them from time to time so we won’t forget.
This is the reason why I do my annual review through the lens of gratitude. I’ve been doing this since 2012 and it’s so heartwarming to go back to the years that passed and see how good God has been.
Here’s a sneak peek of the previous years.
My word for the year 2022 was PAMPER.
Indeed, I pampered myself a lot this year. I also allowed other people to pamper me.
And wow! God has been so sweet!
Let me quickly share my 2022 Gratitude List here:
PERSONAL
1. Local Travels — Boracay, Bohol, Isabela, Tagaytay
2. European Tour
I went on a 21-day solo DIY tour to Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.

3. U.S. Travel
I visited Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Boston.
4. Rafael
I bought a new car. My rule of thumb for buying a car is to buy only what I can afford to pay in full in cash. Thank God for His provision!

5. Vacations with my family in the province

Happy to have bonded with my family and friends.
I traveled to my hometown a couple of times to bond with my family and to celebrate Father’s Day with my Papa.
I also met some friends in person. So good to see people again in person and not just virtually.
6. Annual Retreat in Tagaytay

7. Conquered my fear of the dentist

8. Auditioned for a choir and I got accepted!

Side comment: My friends from Singapore, Coen and his wife, his team from Singapore, and his team from the Philippines, had their team building in Tagaytay last week and they invited me to join them during their recreation day. Right after our barbecue night, we gathered in the living room and we watched some of my music videos. We had a great time. Hehe!
We also watched my debut singing performance at the Global Authors Summit 2019 in front of 400 people. I was so moved, I cried. Huhu. I still felt the emotions I and the audience felt during that moment. I looked at my friend and he was also crying.
The song title is “I Can.” You can watch it here:
PROFESSIONAL
1. Speaking Engagement in Paris, France
I traveled all the way to France and the U.S. to give talks. It was such a lovely experience. I was so pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make the audience in the U.S. laugh. I also love how childlike the audience in Paris were. I played my music video Permission to Dance at the end of my talk and 90% of the audience stood up and danced with me. My message was about connecting with our inner child and we did!

2. Speaking Engagement in the U.S.

3. Spoke in front of 8,000 participants, live, in-person

The other speakers in this event were Bo Sanchez and Rex Mendoza. Here’s the snippet of my talk.
4. We wrote, published, and launched two eBooks.
Together with 150+ Filipinos, we’ve written, published, and launched two eBooks in less than 30 working days.

Over 50,000 people downloaded these eBooks for free!
You can download them for free here if you haven’t done so yet: https://theauthorsvoice.net/rosas
5. We printed my latest book Love Yourself Today

6. We overhauled my website. Visit https://shanacino.com/
7. I unlocked my key message to the world!
Here it is: Inspiring Fearless Possibilities by Helping Leaders and Organizations Build a Culture where Everyone Feels Safe, Seen, and Appreciated.
Thanks to my coaches Fredrik Haren, Brenda Bence, and Coen Tan.
8. Local and Global Awards
I received two awards: Inspiring Humanitarian Award given by World Humanitarian Drive and one of my books was awarded by BookShelfPH as one of the most influential Filipino books of the past two decades.
