Do you need some pampering today?

About two weeks ago, I got back in Manila after four months in the province.

The vibe in the province is different from the vibe in the city. So last week, I was still finding my flow back in the city and I’ve been asking God to give me some “gana” (enthusiasm)

One of His answers came thru a dear friend who asked if I was craving for any food. I told her my favorite order at Mary Grace (that’s the name of the restaurant). I forgot to include the soup though.

My friend sent me lunch and she included the soup! Wow!

Two lessons I learned from this:

  1. God really, really loves us and He sometimes sends people to make us feel His love in a concrete way. Learn to ask for favor from God. He listens and He always gives the best answers!
  2. When you know how to love and pamper yourself, you can receive love/pampering from other people, too! 🤩

Prior to my self love journey, I was so uncomfortable and shy to receive. I was more comfortable to give.

The old me would have told my friend to not bother sending me food. Then I would secretly wish she would send anyway. If she didn’t, I’d feel frustrated. Hahaha! Crazy, right?!

Thank God I am learning to love myself and communicate what I want. And I am learning how to enjoy receiving love from others also.

It’s 8:40am as I am writing this email. I woke up at 5am and it feels so good to savor the peace and quiet a new morning brings. I enjoyed working out for one hour. I read a good book, meditated, did my Gratitude Walk, wrote in my Mission Happiness Journal, drank green juice, and dated God. And oh! I felt so refreshed after taking a bath! 🙂
