Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

How’s your 2023 so far?

How did you close your 2022? Do you have any tradition on Dec 31?

What was your biggest breakthrough in 2022?

At the end of each year, I have a little tradition.

I review my 2022 thru the lens of Gratitude and Gold (lessons).

I’ll share my 2022 Year In Review in another letter.

For now, let me share my biggest breakthrough in 2022.

Here it is: I finally got out of my shell.

Praise God!

Context: I was so shy and introverted all my life.

Thank God I discovered my purpose in writing and speaking.

I slowly got out of my shell.

I started speaking in front of 20 people, then hundreds, then thousands.

In 2022, I spoke in front of 8,000 people, live, in-person.

I don’t have problems anymore speaking in front of a huge audience.

In fact, I get so pumped up, excited, and joyful when I’m asked to speak.

But there’s one more thing I haven’t conquered prior to December 2022.

I was too shy and introverted when it came to family parties and reunions.

In the past so many years, I would usually just sit in the corner and carry one of my baby nieces or nephews so I didn’t need to mingle with a lot of people.

Something happened on the last week of December 2022 that surprised me!

My eldest cousins tapped me to be one of the two emcees (hosts) for our Christmas party and I said yes!

My cousin-in-law asked me to lead Zumba for their house blessing party and I said, “Sure!”

My uncle asked me to sing to keep the audience entertained when the band took their dinner break and I gladly obeyed

We had three family parties in a span of 5 days. We have a huge clan. Thanks to my grandparents for raising 11 children!

What changed? My daily Zumba workouts, creating music videos, lots of self-love and self-acceptance, and my willingness to serve.

I said YES because I saw everything as ways of serving my family.

The words of my mentor Bo Sanchez still rings in my ears until today,

“Whenever you are asked to use your gifts to serve others, say YES!”

That has been my guiding principle in writing books, giving keynote speeches, doing online courses and online summits, creating music videos, etc.

What was your biggest breakthrough in 2022 which came as a surprise to you?

What will you continue doing daily in 2023?

For me, I’ll continue to dance Zumba every morning and sing every day! 🙂

Would love to hear from you. You can comment to this article.

I wish you a happy, healthy, peaceful, abundant 2023!

P.S. Speaking of singing, here’s my first music video for 2023. It’s a fun 90s dance song called Bring It All Back
