[Motivational Speaker] How to love yourself unconditionally

Happy Friday,

Hope you’re having a beautiful week so far.

Today, I’d like to share something so important: self love.

In our first masterclass for Thrive University, I talked about How to Love the Most Important Person in Your Life — Yourself.

Self love is so important because if you don’t love yourself, nothing will never be enough.

You may go places, achieve “success” as the world perceives it. Yet, deep inside, you’d feel empty. Then you keep on chasing more success and end up still feeling empty.

It’s because you keep on chasing something outside of yourself when what you really need is love, specifically self love.

At Thrive University, I shared 5 ways on how to love ourselves better.

In this email, I’ll share one of the most important ways to love ourselves.

Here it is: Love yourself not just because of your strengths, but also in spite of your weaknesses or brokenness. In other words, love yourself unconditionally.

Here’s an axercise to help us love ourselves unconditionally:

Write down 5 things you don’t love about yourself and for each, write down, “I love myself for _______ (insert your weakness).”

I know it’s challenging but it’s worth it.

Personal Story

One of my biggest weaknesses before was my shyness.

I used to be so shy and I felt so uncomfortable being shy. I didn’t like myself for being shy. I felt so afraid that others may notice that I was shy. When others would say how shy I am, I felt like my big secret was exposed and I wanted to hide.

i knew deeply that I was shy but I was too afraid to admit it.

Because of that, I experienced so many unnecessary pains.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have accepted and loved myself for being shy… I would have written down and repeated this phrase over and over again. ..

I love myself for being shy.

Life would have been simpler and easier. :)

Now, I am less shy and sometimes I forget that I used to be so shy. When you love yourself unconditionally, it’s easier to overcome a weakness.

This exercise may be simply but it is so powerful.

Now, I know how to love myself and I enjoy loving myself.

Enjoy loving yourself!

You deserve to be loved by the most important person in your life — YOU!

When we love ourselves, we can love others better! :)

I wish you love, joy, and peace today and everyday! :)
