Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

Happy Wednesday!

It’s so hard to say the word “happy” right now.

I’ve been crying since last night.

I was only able to sleep at 4:30AM today.

My heart is broken into pieces.

I am grieving for my beloved country, the Philippines.

Context: Philippine elections.

If you’re affected by what’s happening, hugs!

If you need to cry, it’s okay to cry.

Virtual hugs some more!

I also badly need hugs! Huhu.

Still, I have no regrets.

I celebrate how the campaign season made me stronger and better.

I celebrate what I saw (and continue to see) in most Filipinos : loving, joyful, generous, honest, principled, compassionate, resourceful, brave, caring, creative.

I am grateful to have fought (along with millions) for leaders who are caring, honest, and competent.

I am grateful how Leni Robredo continues to inspire me to be a great Filipino, leader, and woman.

Sadly, I also saw how massive corruption among some traditional politicians and government officials is. 🙁

We’re talking of billions of pesos here, probably trillions. (There goes our taxes from our hard-earned money. Ouch!)

I also saw how some Filipinos turn a blind eye on massive corruption because of blind idolatry to some politicians.

Others are victims of years of massive misinformation and fake news.

We lost. The Philippines lost. Or have we?

My only prayer right now is for the TRUTH to come out.

…that the numbers indeed reflect the real sentiments of the Filipino people.

…that there was indeed clean and honest elections.

If yes, I will graciously accept the elections results. (Yes, I will cry some more. That’s for sure.)

Then I will move forward, continue to love my country, and wish the best for the newly elected officials.

But for now, the fight is not yet over.

Accuracy of the numbers is still being checked. Manual counting is ongoing.

May the TRUTH come out and may it set us free.

Hugs 🙂

I wish you love, joy, and peace today and everyday!

P.S.1 I’ll keep the HOPE I saw in Filipinos alive in my heart.

I’ll hold on to the lyrics of the song ROSAS.

“Hangga’t may pag-ibig

Liwanag ang mananaig”

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” – Romans 8:28
