Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

Hope your day is going well.

I’m greeting you from sunny Bohol! 🙂

I’m here supposedly for workation (work plus vacation).

I wanted to write a travel book regarding my recent 21-Day Europe DIY solo travel.

Since I’ll be here in Bohol anyway, we’ll also do music videos. Hehe.

Two nights ago, a thought popped up and that thought made me feel a little insecure.

The feeling lingered until the next morning.

Imagine, you’re in one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Yet, your inner world (aka your thoughts) blind you from seeing the beauty around you.

Thank God, I’ve established my Morning Routine for more than a decade now.

As part of my morning routine, I picked up my favorite devotional and read the message for the day.

“Just bask in the sweet gentle warmth of My love.

Let that love wash over every part of you, fill every cell of your body.” (Source: GMG)

When I read that, I smiled. My perspective shifted.

My heart was filled with peace and love.

I went out for a walk by the beach. I chanced upon Ate Arlene, one of the tour guides in Bohol.

I booked two tours from her — an island hopping tour and a private mini van that can tour me and my videographers around Bohol.

We’ll do music videos while touring some of Bohol’s most famous tourist destinations. So excited for this!

After lunch, I transferred to another hotel with beach view.

This is the view 🙂 My pet sheep Cheese from Zaanse, Netherlands says Hi! 🙂

When I was ready to sit down and write the travel book, guess what I forgot?

My laptop charger! Huhu.

I feel God really wants me to enjoy and bask in His love. 🙂

It’s the same message I got when I attended Jack Canfield’s Royal Caribbean Cruise in 2019.

My fun goal was to write a book in between breaks.

When I shared my plan with Jack, he said,

“Don’t write a book while on cruise. Just BE. Just enjoy.”

I guess I won’t be writing a book during this trip then.

There are three things I’d like to highlight for this newsletter.

  1. Morning Routine is so powerful!

Even if you are a highly positive and grateful person, there are still moments when troubling thoughts pop up and attempt to steal your peace. Your morning routine can serve as your anchor in helping you gain perspective and get back on track.

2. Having a safe space is a real treasure.

It’s so important to have a safe space where you can be vulnerable and weak. We don’t need to be strong all the time.

I disclosed that troubling thought with two of my closest friends and it felt good to be seen, heard, and loved.

3. Love is the antidote to insecurity.

The thought that made me feel insecure caused pressure on my part to work harder…out of fear.

My devotional reading that morning reminded me how deeply and unconditionally loved I am by God.

When you know you are deeply loved right where you are, exactly as you are, you don’t have to grasp for earthly success.

Nothing is lacking. You are enough. You can rest in His love.

Same is true when you love yourself and when you know you’ll always choose to love and accept yourself no matter what.

You can “be”. You can feel safe.

May you feel loved today! 🙂

I wish you success and happiness!
