Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

Happy Tuesday! 🙂

How’s your 2022 going so far?

I hope and pray you and your family are healthy and happy.

What is your word for 2022?

Your word for the year can serve as your guide for the entire year.

I’ve been doing this practice for a couple of years now and it made a huge difference in my life.

In 2019, my word for the year was GO GLOBAL. (Actually, two words. Hehe)

Indeed, I went global. I got invited to speak to non-Filipino audiences and travel to India (2x), U.S. Singapore, Malaysia, and the Maldives. I attended Jack Canfield’s seminar-on-cruise wherein we traveled to Miami, Florida; Honduras; Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico, and Costa Maya, Mexico. It was the year I traveled the most!

In 2020, my word was RELAX. True enough, 2020 was my most relaxed year so far. I was mostly home due to the pandemic. 2020 was also the year I started to take care of plants and pet birds and transformed my home into a relaxing abode.

In 2021, my word was RECEIVE. I am more of a giver than a receiver, so that word was a huge blessing to me. I became more comfortable to receive love and affection from others.

On my birthday that year, I received the most number of flowers I’ve ever received on my birthday so far! My friend gifted me my favorite birthday cake (the only cake I eat on my birthday!) and my brother and my friends gifted me six (6) bouquets of flowers!

I also received a lot of blessings in 2021, blessings that were beyond my imagination! I’ll share more about them soon in my 2021 Year In Review: Gratitude List.

This 2022, my word for the year is PAMPER.

This word came to mind while I was doing my Gratitude Walk on the afternoon of December 31.

The more I prayed about it, the stronger that word resonated with me.

Serving other people and pampering the ones closest to me are deeply embedded in my system.

I feel like God was telling me that afternoon, “Sha, I want to pamper you this year and I want you to pamper yourself.”

So 2022 will be all about pampering myself first so I can pamper others better! 🙂

I will also allow others to pamper me. Hahaha! Bring it on!

Speaking of PAMPER, one of the things that brings so much joy and excitement to me is personal growth. I love to learn and grow!

On the first week of 2022, I hired three (3) personal coaches to work with me one-on-one on 3 different areas of my life. I also joined an online membership club. Then I bought 3 audio books! The LEARNER in me feels so pampered, excited, and loved!!! 🙂

How will you know your word for the year?

There are a number of ways. Let me share two.

One is to pray about it and listen to what you hear in your prayer. That’s how I got my word for 2022.

Another way is to use this site called

I first heard of this site from my mentor Bro. Bo in 2019.

Then my friend Maan shared it with me again a few days ago.

I’m excited for your word for the year!

There’s one more thing I’d like to share with you.

I’ve been doing this quietly since college.

I’ve been so blessed by this act.

So I feel it’s time to finally share this secret with you.

It will be secret no more. I’ll share this with you on the last Tuesday of the month.

All I can say for now is, THANK YOU for being a part of it!

Exciting days ahead!

Have a happy and healthy 2022!
