Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

Happy Tuesday! πŸ™‚

What is your word for 2021?

Your word of the year acts as your guiding word for the entire year. This could be the word you need to learn the most this year.

In 2019, my word or theme for the year was GO GLOBAL.

Indeed, I went global in 2019. For the first time, I got invited to speak to non-Filipino audiences and travel to India, U.S. Singapore, Malaysia, and the Maldives. I attended Jack Canfield’s seminar-on-cruise wherein we traveled to Miami, Florida; Honduras; Bahamas; Cozumel, Mexico, and Costa Maya, Mexico.

In 2020, my word for the year was RELAX. True enough, 2020 was my most relaxed year so far. I was mostly home due to the pandemic. 2020 was also the year I started to take care of plants and pet birds and transformed my home into a relaxing abode.

I also established boundaries around my working hours. As much as I could, I only worked from Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and I kept my Sat-Sun my free days. I only worked on weekends if I had an important speaking engagement

This 2021, my word for the year is RECEIVE. I love this word and I feel that after God invited me to relax in 2020, He is now inviting me to learn how to receive.

By nature, I am more of a giver than a receiver. In the Enneagram Test, my personality is a Helper. It means that I love to give and help and serve.

Whenever I meet someone in a seminar or an event, my default questions would always be… How can I serve this person? What can I give this person?

When a friend sends me a surprise gift, my default was, “What can I give back in return?”

I remember when I celebrated my birthday in 2020. The question I asked myself was, β€œWho can I send gifts to? Who can I make happy today?”

And then I remembered it’s my birthday so I told myself to RELAX, chill, and let God surprise me.

Giving is deeply embedded in my system. This is good. But there has to be balance. I feel I also need to learn how to receive.

That’s why I am so grateful that when I prayed about my word for the year, the word RECEIVE kept popping up for so many days and the word resonated with me.

I am embracing RECEIVE as my word for the year for 2021.

How about you? What is your word for the year?

How do you know your word for the year? Through prayer. That’s how I discerned mine.

Another is through this word of the year generator https://www.wordoftheyear.me/

(I first learned this from Bo Sanchez, then I got reminded about it again this 2020 from Emily Wilson and my friend Maan Mencias. Thanks you!).

I wish you love, joy, and peace! πŸ™‚

P.S.Β Success is not built overnight, but over time. I’d love to journey with you!

I have developed some habits through the years that have helped me become happier as a person as well as excel in my profession. These are the same habits I teach insideΒ Thrive University, a group online mentoring and mastermind program for entrepreneurs and high achievers. At Thrive University, we get to meet each other virtually every month!

I will open the registration to Thrive University on January 14, Thursday. Watch out for it! πŸ™‚

P.P.S. I am sooooo grateful for your replies to my latest email re my 2020 Year In Review! Thank you! I enjoyed reading them. I wanted to reply to ALL the emails but I couldn’t keep up with the hundreds of email responses we received. Sorry! β€οΈ

The good news is… I was able to reply to most emails, especially those that needed my personal reply.

Some of the frequently asked questions in the emails I wasn’t able to reply to included – how to zero out credit card debts, how to invest, how to stay motivated, how to be productive, how to speak with confidence, how to write a book, etc.

I’ve answered these questions in my YouTube channel. You can subscribe here and watch the videos I prepared for you: https://bit.ly/SubscribetoShaNacinoTV

Enjoy!
