Inspiring you to be more grateful each day

Hope you’re having a great week so far.

Let’s dive right into our Story, Highlight, and call to Action for the week :)

One Saturday in July 2018, I woke up at 5:30 AM to prepare for my 8 AM interview with my mentor, Bo Sanchez. This was part of the interviews I did for the HR Summit Global. Fresh from a 14-hour flight from London, he agreed to my interview request.

Our topic was How to Lead with Love.

He articulated his wisdom eloquently using simple words. His words were powerful, and his actions even magnified them. He is someone who ‘talks his walk.’

I am grateful to have him as one of my mentors.

Who are your mentors?

I have lots of mentors in the different areas of my life and I carefully chose each of them.

Today, let me share with you three qualities I look for in a mentor.

Three things to look for in a mentor :

Character – He is authentic. His actions match his words. For instance, if your mentor gives advice on maintaining a happy marriage, it’s because he is also happily married.

Competence – Opt for a mentor who has already achieved what you aim for. If you seek a mentor in speaking, choose someone who speaks exceptionally well. Personally, I always choose the best in a particular area.

Care – he cares about your wellbeing and your growth. He creates a space where you feel safe, seen, and appreciated.
